Why we exist

What you get, and why it matters.

Built around your process

Big software is built for big budgets and big teams. We build around how your business already runs, so your team doesn’t have to bend to someone else’s template.

AI that does the grunt work

We use AI for research, testing, and routine code so your people spend less time on busywork. Security, integrations, and anything that touches your money or your customers get checked by hand.

One plan, one quote

Photography, design, and niche expertise get folded into one plan and one quote, so you aren’t stuck coordinating three vendors to get one project done.

Why we exist.

“Businesses build large business tools for large businesses who have a large budget. Our mission is to build affordable, customized software for your small business’s needs.”
Jackson UptainFounder, Huntsville Software

Where this came from.

Before Huntsville Software, the work already covered AI pipelines, Salesforce integrations, internal tools, websites, and content systems.

  1. Operational automation

AI and Salesforce workflows for high-volume research, product data, and web-store submissions.

  2. Custom publishing systems

Public websites and content tools that the people closest to the work can manage on their own.

  3. Huntsville Software

One small shop for businesses that need websites and internal systems built around how they actually operate.

  4. The system today

A CRM, lead tracking, communications, content, and website tools, all built in-house and running the business.

Systems built before Huntsville Software

  • Multi-agent photo processing that cut a day-long workflow down to minutes
  • AI research across more than 2,000 Salesforce accounts and opportunities
  • Salesforce automation connecting web-store submissions to account records
  • Custom website and content-management system for Capstone Fire and Safety
  • Reusable AI pipelines for finding and grading bid opportunities

Common questions.

Do you only build websites?

No. We build websites, AI tools, and custom software, and bring in marketing support when clearer messaging, better search visibility, or campaign pages are part of getting the project to work.

Can you help figure out what we actually need?

Yes. You do not need a technical brief. Bring the current process, the pain point, or the business goal. The first conversation is for finding the right first project.

Do you work with companies outside Huntsville?

Yes. Huntsville is home base. The work itself is built to support good teams wherever they are.

How does pricing work?

There’s no published price list or package tier — every project is quoted around what it actually needs, including any freelance help it takes to do it right. Being a small shop means the deal itself can flex too: timeline, payment structure, or a discount when it makes sense. Active duty, Guard, Reserve, veterans, law enforcement, and fire service get 15% off any project — just mention it when you reach out.

How does billing work for the AI tools you build?

You pay once to have the tool built. After that, you only pay for what it actually uses. If you’d rather not manage a usage dashboard, we’ll send one simple monthly invoice that shows exactly what your business spent.

Will I be working with you, or a team?

You’ll have one direct point of contact — Jackson — from the first phone call through launch and after, and he’s involved in the build itself, not just the meetings. When a project needs specialists, like a photographer, a particular design style, or local marketing know-how, they’re brought in and folded into your single quote. You’re never handed off to someone who wasn’t there for the original conversation.

Do I own the website when it’s done?

Yes — the domain, the code, the content, all of it. Nothing here is licensed back to you month to month. If you ever wanted to walk away from Huntsville Software entirely, your site keeps working exactly as it did the day before.

What happens after the site goes live?

We don’t sell hosting ourselves, but we’ll set it up on your behalf with a trusted provider, in your name, so you’re always the one who actually controls it. There’s no fixed free-fix window — if something’s broken shortly after launch, we handle it; beyond that, ongoing help is available if you want it, billed simply, never a forced subscription.

How long does a project take, and how do I pay for it?

It depends on scope — a straightforward business website usually moves faster than a custom tool or an AI workflow, and you’ll get a real timeline as part of your quote, not a guess. Payment is a deposit to start, with the balance due at launch.

What do you actually build with?

Custom code, for the most part — nothing off-the-shelf just because it’s convenient. AI is part of how the work gets done: brainstorming, design iteration, and writing routine code fast so more time goes into the parts that matter. It never gets the final say on security, integrations, or anything a client’s business depends on — that gets checked, double-checked, and verified by hand before it ships.

I’m an existing customer and can’t get back to my project. What should I do?

Use the dedicated customer sign-in page and sign in with the exact email address that received your project invitation. If sign-in does not finish, hard-refresh the page, allow pop-ups and site data for the portal, then try again. You can also use email and password instead of Google. If you still cannot get in, email hello@huntsvillesoftware.com for help. Return to customer sign-in

Your first project should probably be smaller than your full idea.

Start with the problem costing you the most time or causing the most confusion. Fix that first, then decide what comes next.
